The High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development is the UN's platform for the global follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year's HLPF, on the theme of "Ensuring that no one is left behind", is the first since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs in September 2015.
Persons with disabilities, with the International Disability Alliance (IDA), the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC) and other disability movements and organisations worldwide, have been engaging and contributing to the High-level Political Forum (HLPF) and are now recognised as the Stakeholder Group of Persons with Disabilities. Through a coordinated open and collaborative process, a formal position paper on "Ensuring that no one is left behind" was submitted by Stakeholder Group of Persons with Disabilities to the HLPF 2016.
The written submission by the Stakeholder Group of Persons with Disabilities has already received many endorsements from organisations worldwide.
