International Federation of Anti-Leprosy Associations (ILEP) is seeking a Chief Executive who will be based in Geneva.
Leprosy is curable and ILEP is working for a world free from leprosy. ILEP is a Federation of 14 international non-governmental organisations. We support a Technical Commission of world experts on leprosy. Members co-ordinate their work in 63 countries, where they spend some $60 million on 700 projects and over $1.5m million per year on leprosy research. Together we are stopping leprosy, preventing disability due to leprosy and fighting the stigma which can cause children, women and men affected by leprosy to be shunned and excluded from everyday life.
ILEP has a new strategy building on international external momentum around leprosy and other neglected tropical diseases. We are consequently searching for a Chief Executive to lead a revitalised and committed membership, improve collaboration on leprosy programmes with WHO and key stakeholders, develop and drive ILEP’s advocacy strategy, increase the profile of leprosy and represent ILEP effectively to external stakeholders.
Based in Geneva, Switzerland, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is adept at identifying and developing partnerships and will excel in the scene of global public health.
If you have;
• Significant leadership experience at CEO or director-level in an international organisation
• A successful track record at developing effective partnerships with a range of stakeholders, including public bodies
• Experience working in development or the health sector and with NGOs.
We would love to hear from you.
Deadline for applications: 24 November 2014.
