From 8-11 September 2016, the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC) will be participating Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID) Forum. AWID is an international gathering of broad movements and sectors revolving around gender and feminism themes. The topic this year is “Feminism Futures: Building Collective Power for Rights and Justice”, and the topics of gender and disability will be also discussed, as the issues of women and girls with disabilities are those of all women. This will be an outstanding opportunity to exchange knowledge about the latest gains and gaps for the rights of women and traditionally marginalised populations, and discuss the current situation in different regions of the world, and to share ideas about the best strategies to implement in order to overcome the remaining challenges.
